Where does camelina oil come from?
What is the advantage of camelina oil for dogs? The camelina oil in our Doxel products is grown by local farmers in Spain. By avoiding additives or chemicals and by producing our products only in a completely natural and sustainable way, we have managed to create three different supplements that are rich in Omega 3, 6, and 9 oils, vitamins, and antioxidants and which boasts about its unique balanced content. In this way, their properties are kept unaltered and we get the benefits we look for in our dogs.
Why choose camelina oil for my dog?
Let us mention the benefits that it can provide to your dogs and why you should consider introducing it as a supplement to your dog’s daily diet.
- Antioxidant: Thanks to its high content of Vitamin E, camelina oil is a strong antioxidant.
- Anti-inflammatory: It is ideal for dogs with skin and fur problems because it reduces the adverse effects of dermatitis and other conditions and soothes the affected areas.
- Anti-aging of joints: It is beneficial for older dogs with joint problems, such as osteoarthritis, as well as for younger dogs that already have certain conditions such as dysplasia. It relieves pain and delays the aging of tissues.
- Improves the Immune System: Its high content of Vitamin E helps to strengthen the dogs’ immune system.
What are the differences between salmon oil and camelina oil?
Camelina oil is completely natural, it is extracted by cold first pressing from the seed that local farmers grow in our country. Our production is totally sustainable, we do not use chemicals and the product is completely traceable from field to bottle. Salmon oil, on the other hand, is often overfished and goes through high-temperature processes. Also, it may contain heavy metals and has 20 times more cholesterol than camelina oil.
In addition, camelina oil has natural antioxidants, which come mainly from Vitamin E. Thanks to this, inflammatory processes in the joints are eased and the immune system is strengthened. It not only boasts about its balanced content of Omega 3, 6, and 9 oils but also includes healthy antioxidants for our dogs.

Camelina oil or olive oil?
Many people use virgin olive oil to supplement their dog’s diet, but do you want to know the differences from camelina oil and all that you are missing?
Camelina Oil for dogs is more beneficial because of its balanced content of fatty acids. It contains 35% Omega 3, 20% Omega 6, and 35% Omega 9. And, while olive oil contains Omega 9, it does not contain Omega 3, which is considered an essential fatty acid.
In addition, our product Doxel Senior contains an extract of the skin of the olive that makes its anti-inflammatory power greater, and therefore, it’s the ideal supplement for dogs with more important joint problems such as dysplasia or arthritis.
